Date: Friday, October 25, 2013 Time: 1:00 p.m. Location: Woodroffe and Knightsbridge, south-east corner By Transit: Route 87, bus stop at this corner. As you may be aware, an elderly woman was struck and killed last week while walking near the intersection of Woodroffe and Knightsbridge in the west end of the City, near Carlingwood. Few details have emerged about this incident, and the story quickly faded from the news (links at bottom). The loss of a life in traffic is not something that should be so quickly forgotten. There are some important milestones coming up which were discussed at last week’s meeting: 1. Updates to Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and Ottawa Pedestrian Plan (OPP) Wednesday, October 9: These two plans will be tabled (i.e. released) at a joint meeting of Transportation Committee and Transit Commission.
